4-16-17 12:00 PM EST: "After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about." For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit." Then they gathered around him and asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. (Acts 1:3-8 NIV)

The tomb is still empty, Jesus Christ is still alive, and we await His return. He not only released us from prison and paid our sin debts. He presented to us each a free 'ticket to ride'...into eternity with Him! Our part is to believe what we see and can't see, and accept His ultimate gift by reaching out and taking hold of it...of Him...by opening our doors and letting Him in.

He neither breaks down our doors nor barges in. He stands at our doors and knocks:

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20 KJV)

His Holy name will be praised forever! But if your position is that you'd become a Christian were it not populated by, or comprised of, so many hypocrites...keep this in mind. If a hypocrite is standing between you and God, that just means the hypocrite is closer to God than you are. Don't worry about them...come on in...besides, having one more hypocrite in the group won't make much difference at all. You just do the best that you can do, and let all the other hypocrites do the best they can do.

"For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:12-13 NIV)

We have grey skies and rain here. Had some rather energetic thunderstorms last night. I sincerely thank those of you who continue to visit and share here. Want to personally thank, Pally (American Duckie) for writing that absolutely wonderful piece on forgiveness yesterday for all of us, which you can read or read again in the thread preceding this one. Want to tell Loopy how much I love her empty tomb "claymabob" too. I tried to stretch the picture she took of it, cut out the background, and display it here as best I could. Her lion and lamb claymabob as well. Precious plus...just like her! :-)

I fully realize that most of you do not come here because of me. You come here in spite me. You come here for one another, and those times when I can be included in that "one another", I am truly grateful. "Bear" with me if you can. Walk that "extra mile" if you will. The people who hang around here want to walk it with you. They've got whatchacall, stamina.

Hey! The clouds are just now parting, the sky is brightening...and the sun doth shine! May the Son and sun shine for you and yours this most blessed of days. If all of us can be part of that "you and yours" all the brighter! LOVE!

Here's D. James Kennedy telling of the crucifixion and resurrection as if he is the Apostle Peter. Pretty cool. Then, some Praise music ♥
