4-14 9:20 AM EST: A Good Friday morning to you! A day some might call a paradox. Why? Well, it's both horrible and wonderful, just and unjust, dark yet permeated with and in light.

That light is the "light of the world":

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (John 8:12 NIV)

Though the letters/epistles of Paul were penned within just a very few years of the events surrounding the ministry, crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the book of Mark is widely considered the oldest (or first) of the Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John gospels.

Here is a reading of Mark Chapter 15.
