"A Pearl Harbor First Hand Account" by Conservative Hippie!

12-7-16 11:37 PM EST: The following is my father’s firsthand account of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. He was stationed on the USS Maryland and his battle station was the Signal Bridge. He was a communications specialist, a signalman in the U.s. Navy (I’m not sure what rank he was when Pearl Harbor was attacked). He did semaphores and Morse code and every other type of communication. Up until the time of his death (2009), every night he would practice his semaphores and Morse codes before going to bed. He and my Mom (died in 2010) are my heroes and always will be.
