Saturday Night Music with Brew! " Ahem, Maestro, Hit Me'!"

1-14-17 8:00 PM EST: Ouch! That's gonna leave a mark! We had a new topic last night, with songs from animated movies. Don't think we've ever done that one before, so thanks to our friend CarFan for that. After nearly 150 weekends of this, much of which had two music subjects per, are there any musical subjects we've not covered?

Today in 1784 The Treaty of Paris is Ratified Doubling U.S. Size.

1-14-17 1:07 PM EST: This treaty was one of many Paris treaties, but was the one having to do with the cessation of British hostilities in the 13 colonies and against what is now the United States of America. It was a beginning, of course we had to kick their British butts again in the War of 1812 for it to be permanent. Since then, they've pretty much been our staunch allies.

Open Thread with The Right Angle and a Christian Testimony!

1-12-17 7:38 PM EST: Good evening. We're supposed to have temps well above the freezing point every day next week. We should be able to see the concrete on our driveway without shoveling by next weekend. Highly unusual for this time of year up here. Will be up in the 40's much of that time too. Very strange. Looks like the ice fishers will have to wait quite a bit longer to get out there on those lakes.
